JUUL Slate Device

The JUUL Slate Device is the original JUUL vape, part of the wider JUUL Device range, built for original JUUL pods. It suits vapers who already use original JUUL pods and need a replacement or spare device, or first-time buyers picking a device and pod flavor separately.

What Is the JUUL Slate Device?

It’s a rechargeable, pod-based vaping device with a matte slate finish. There are no buttons: insert a pod and draw to activate it. The table below lists what’s confirmed for this device.

Key Features

• Slim, matte slate aluminum body designed to fit easily in a pocket
• Draw-activated with no buttons, nothing to configure before your first pull
• USB charging dock included, so it’s ready to use again shortly after it runs flat
• Compatible with the full original JUUL pod range: tobacco, menthol, mint, berry and mango flavors

How Does It Compare to the JUUL Silver Device and JUUL2?

Slate and Juul Silver are simply two color options on the same original JUUL device, so the internal specs, pod compatibility and performance are identical between them; choose whichever finish you prefer. The JUUL2 platform is a separate, newer system with a larger 1.2 mL pod, and it is not interchangeable with this device: original JUUL pods will not fit a JUUL2 device, and JUUL2 pods will not fit this one.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Compact and lightweight, easy to carry day to day
• Simple to use, no settings or buttons to learn
• Wide range of original JUUL pod flavors to choose from

Cons

• Battery life suits moderate use; heavy vapers may need to recharge more than once a day
• Limited to the original JUUL pod format, which holds less e-liquid per pod than the newer JUUL2 pods

How to Use It

1. Remove a JUUL pod from its packaging and insert it into the top of the device until it clicks into place.
2. There’s no button to press; simply draw on the mouthpiece to activate the device.
3. Recharge via the included USB dock once the battery indicator signals it’s running low.
